“Spiral Tree” by Sara Reinthaler
FEBRUARY 2025
Have you ever wanted to carve a Gnome Gneighborhood? Sara Reinthaler and Sheila Hunter will teach a class on carving a tiny house and a tiny spiral tree that can be attached to a small round disk. See photos for details.
Ideal for beginner and intermediate carvers. Carve several and create your own gnome gneighborhood, complete with trees and houses for a fun scene at a gnominal cost. (Details regarding the cost of the wood blanks coming soon.) Classes will begin on Monday, February 3rd, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM EST and will continue each Monday all month long. Sign up at the club meeting!

March 2025
During March, Pat Patrick and Charles Griffin will be leading the group on a mystery carving session—Classes are scheduled on Mondays from 4-5:30 pm in the smaller room. A sign-up sheet will be available by mid February. Please be prepared to pay a small fee for materials (if required); and, of course, bring your own carving tools! There will be judging of completed carvings and there may be a prize or two awarded by the panel of judges! Competition is based mainly on originally—taking a blank shape of wood and generating an “original wood carving art piece.” Study the available blanks and an let your brain and imagination bring out the carving.

APRIL (2025)
During April, Lynne Patrick will be leading the group on a pyrography project—Classes are scheduled on Mondays from 4-5:30 pm in the smaller room. A sign-up sheet will be available in mid March.

MAY (2025)
During the month of May, Tim Trudgeon will be instructing on how to open a golf ball and carve a face on the inside. Classes are scheduled on Mondays from 4-5:30 pm in the smaller room. A sign-up sheet will be available in mid April.
JUNE-JULY (2025)
Stewart Hodges and Jim Carpenter will be furnishing materials and providing assistance for carving a Red-tailed Hawk feather. Stewart will guide the group on carving and Jim will cover painting. Classes are scheduled on Mondays from 4-5:30 pm in the smaller room. A sign-up sheet will be available in mid May.
AUGUST (2025)
Stewart Hodges, Will Crawford and Charles Griffin will be providing assistance for carving a male and a female Pig Magnet. Roughouts (by Ron Dowdy, Caricatures Carvers of America) will be available for purchase prior to the event at a cost of $6 each ($12 if you wants the male and the female pig roughout). A sign-up sheet is available, so get on the list right away and take advantage of these unique roughouts. Please pay the TWC Treasurer for your choice of roughouts.
